FAQ
Do I need previous experience to rent?
For surfboard rental, no experience is needed. For kitesurf and wingfoil, we require you have previous experience and basic control. If you’re a complete beginner, we’d recommend booking a lesson with Algarve Watersport first.
What if there’s no wind or conditions are bad?
Lagos enjoys excellent conditions throughout the season. If conditions are genuinely unsuitable when you arrive, we will reschedule at no charge. For kitesurf and wingfoil 1-day rentals: if you take the kit out and conditions drop within 90 minutes, return it and we charge €10 instead of the full day — the clock starts the moment the kit enters the water.
Can I rent for multiple days?
Yes — our 5-day package is available for all three sports and works out significantly cheaper than daily: kitesurf from €300, surf from €65, wingfoil from €340. Staying longer? Message us and we will work something out.
Is a wetsuit included?
Wetsuits are an optional add-on at +€5/day — not included in the base rental. A helmet and leash are included with kitesurf and wingfoil. For surf, car transport belts are included; a wetsuit can be added when you book.
What if I damage the gear?
Normal wear is part of the sport. For significant damage, we’ll assess the repair cost fairly and discuss it with you before any charge is made.
What should I bring?
Just yourself and sun protection. We provide all the gear at our Lagos shop. Wear board shorts or a swimsuit — add a wetsuit (+€5/day) if you want coverage. Bring cash or card for payment.
Can I book same-day?
Yes, if availability allows. Message us on WhatsApp as early in the morning as possible — same-day bookings fill up fast in peak season. We recommend booking at least 48 hours ahead in July and August.
